The Night Before Poor Larry Was Stretched

I think the name says it all.  Well, really the lyrics say it all, which you can view here.

Despite the title the tune itself is refreshing and calming, especially played in Martin Hayes' iconic lilting, and conversational way.  I was in the mood for a tune like this today.  It's over 100 degrees and about as muggy as can be.  The right tune can be a cool drink of water sometimes.  Martin Hayes' playing has that sort of effect when you listen.  Some fiddlers playing makes you want to dance or clap, but my reaction to his stuff is always more emotional than physical.  So I'm playing this tune with a nod to Martin's playing: stripped down, and completely focused on the melody and cadence.
